Also in this episode, Elaine’s PDA gets weaponized after a temperamental Russian author hurls it out a window and it hits a woman in the head and Kramer practices golfing on the beach. George Costanza always dreamed of pretending to be an architect, but this episode sees him trying to convince a woman that he is a marine biologist. When Frank confronts him, Frank gets Kramer’s Fusilli Jerry statuette stuck in a very uncomfortable place, leading to a trip to the proctologist. He also gets into trouble with Frank Costanza for inadvertently making a move on Estelle. Kramer also gets a surprise when he gets the wrong license plates, with these ones reading “ASSMAN,” plates he suspects were ordered by a proctologist. Of course, the value of a good mechanic is greater than any move, Jerry decides. Jerry is incensed to find out that his mechanic David Puddy is using Jerry’s signature bedroom move, albeit with a pinch at the end rather than a swirl. Jerry also finds himself dating a woman with “man hands” whom he dubs “like a creature out of Greek mythology.” And who can forget Kramer accidentally landing a corporate office gig, only to be fired shortly thereafter despite never having been actually hired? Only then does Elaine realize that Kevin and his friends are the Bizzarro versions of Jerry, George, and Kramer - essentially they’re exact opposites. After Elaine breaks up with her boyfriend Kevin, they decide to still be friends. “Seinfeld” was never shy on Superman references, but this one took it to another level. George lies about his identity at the airport to get a free limo ride to Madison Square Garden, but slowly learns the person George said he was is actually a prominent neo-Nazi and the limo is taking them to a protest across the street from the Garden. “The Limo” is one of the oddest events to happen to the group. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of one of “Seinfeld’s” most popular episodes (“The Contest”), Variety looked at the entire series and picked the 10 best episodes of the show about nothing.
